Ways to give to the racing community

A few quick philanthropic reminders/thoughts about Sunday:

If you’re in the New York area and not deterred by Sunday’s weather forecast, considering hopping the A train to the Big A to attend a fundraiser for Backstretch Employees Service Team; the theme is Women in Racing and the host is Jan Rushton.

Heading to the races at Aqueduct on Sunday? Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots Christmas drive.

There’s still time to donate to the Christmas party for the children of Anna House; this is where the children of backstretch workers get to pick out presents to give to their families and siblings. The party is next Saturday, December 8th.

And while not exactly philanthropic, we at the Thoroughbred Bloggers Alliance would love to know who’s reading us; take a four-question survey that will take you less than thirty seconds to complete.

Back Sunday with a recap of the Big A event.

Our survey is 60% philanthropic. It will help us get more advertising, of which 60% goes to Old Friends!

Very true, Dana–wish I’d thought to frame it that way. =)
