The Spa in the snow

Not exactly looking like the summer place to be these days, but it’s only 157 days until opening day…and it might just take every last one of them to get rid of the snow…

As always, click to enlarge…

The Oklahoma…

And the main track…

The lake…but no canoe…

And maybe the saddest sight of all…

Stay tuned this week for news of the fourth annual Brooklyn Backstretch Road to the Roses Charity League…and sign up for your chance to win a donation to the racing charity of your choice!

It’s supposed to be 75 in Richmond on Friday, come on down :)

I look forward to the RTTR Charity league and making my annual donation to the charity of someone else’s choice!

  2. Personally,

I can’t wait for all this snow in Saratoga to melt away. The sight of horses galloping at Oklahoma will be a tremendous joy.

that had to be pretty tricky (not to mention dangerous) going up on the roof. glad you didn’t fall off!

  4. Teresa says:

    75…wow. 43, I think, at the Big A.

I like the snow, John, but I can’t wait to be there when the weather’s warm again.

BrooklynSaint: There were moments when I thought that I might drown in snow, but overall, the place was really clear. It was so fun to be there!

  5. Gregg says:

  9. Robert says:

…and only 5 months to opening day.

  10. Teresa says:

Thanks, everyone. It was really cool (pun intended) to see all of those favorite spots in the snow…I was running out of time so I didn’t make it out to the backyard, which I kind of regret. More exploring next time, I hope.

  11. Della says:

How did you get onto the roof? The security is usually pretty tight there.

  12. Teresa says:

I checked in with security, showed my NYRA credential, and asked permission to take photos.

  13. Dell Yount says:

Wonderful photographs! …we’ve had a little rain here in the west.
