Revolutionary overcomes rough start to take the Withers


When the connections of Revolutionary entered their three-year-old in the $200,000 Withers Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack, they hoped the lightly raced colt would take a step forward and show them enough to warrant his staying on the Kentucky Derby trail.

While Revolutionary did just that in a neck victory on Saturday afternoon, the connections got a little more than they bargained for.

    I LOVE THIS HORSE! I am on his bandwagon, love everything about him. I hope he is in the gate the first Saturday in May. Has guts& heart and wants to run a mile and quarter. Most of them won’t be able to run that far. Look out at the top of the CD stretch if he is in it!!
